"The first night after Caroline moves into her fantastic new San Francisco apartment, she realizes she's gaining an intimate knowledge of her new neighbor's nocturnal adventures. Thanks to paper-thin walls and the guy's athletic prowess, she can hear not just his bed banging against the wall but the ecstatic response of what seems (as loud night after loud night goes by) like an endless parade of women. And since Caroline is currently on a self-imposed dating hiatus, and her neighbor is clearly lethally attractive to women, she finds her fantasies keep her awake even longer than the noise. So when the wallbanging threatens to literally bounce her out of bed, Caroline, clad in sexual frustration and a pink baby-doll nightie, confronts Simon Parker, her heard-but-never-seen neighbor. The tension between them is as thick as the walls are thin, and the results just as mixed. Suddenly, Caroline is finding she may have discovered a whole new definition of neighborly...
In a delicious mix of silly and steamy, Alice Clayton dishes out a hot and hilarious tale of exasperation at first sight..."
5 wallbangin'stars *
I love the banter with herself, but I also the dialogue between Caroline and her friends, Mimi & Sophia. There were parts that I laughed right along with them, like we were friends. I found myself laughing so hard, that I was crying, esp when Clive chased "Purina" down (you have to read to find out what I'm talking about)...like really, did that JUST happen? What am talking about, I laughed almost the entire book.

"OH GOD."
Thump.
"Oh, God."
Thump Thump.
Caroline scrambled up out of sleep, confused as she looked around the strange room. Boxes on the floor. Pictures propped against the wall. Each night she heard late-night noises, banging on the other side of the wall, followed by a Spank, a meow, or a giggle (depending on what night it was.)
"Meow! Oh God. Meyow!" The girl next door was meowing. What in the world was my neighbor packing to make that happen"
Finally fed up with her lack of sleep, Caroline stomps over to her neighbors door. And Ever since the night Simon (Wallbanger) and her "met" in the hallway, she couldn't stop dreaming about him. She didn't want to, really didn't want to, but her unconscious mind had taken over and was having her way with him. Nocturnally. Her body and brain were separate on this one: Brain knew better, Lower Caroline was not so sure... I Can a woman like Caroline, who has been searching for her lost O for way too long to count, become friends with Wallbanger, who seems to be on a first name basis with every other woman's O.
The way the author placed the sex scenes or rather lack thereof was tastefully done. It was like a tease but never became obnoxious. It was able to contain its intimacy which I appreciated. This was done without giving too little or too much. Caroline is a great heroine, she’s feisty, fun., and just a girl you want to hang with. And then, of course, there’s Simon. He’s cultured, romantic, funny, he can cook and can appreciate good food. He goes out of his way to establish a friendship because quite frankly he wants her.

Coming into it, I had mixed feelings about Wallbanger. I hadn't read any reviews, so I wasn't sure what to expect. But in the end, I absolutely loved the book.
MUST READ
Wallbanger can be read as a standalone novel, but I will be reading the others in the Cocktail series!
