"Two survivors.Two weeks.One awakening.
When Bristol Criswell travels to St. Lucia for an Enduring Life retreat, she hopes to discover encouragement and support from like souls. A vacation fling is the furthest thing from her mind, especially not with a cocky-mouthed, arrogant jerk like Davis McKay.
But when it becomes evident she can't deny the magnetic attraction between the two, she gives in to her desires, and for the first time in her life, learns the difference between simply living and truly feeling alive.
As their time in paradise quickly comes to an end, will her heart be able to withstand another devastating loss when it's time to say goodbye, or will their connection be strong enough to survive the real world?
Death brought them together, but love will give them a reason to live."
**This book is a full-length, stand alone novel that is not a part of a series**
Bristol is an independent and smart college student that lost both her mother and father when a tornado destroyed their home and their neighborhood, but the guilt she carries around everyday, is overwhelming. She is nervous and excited for a survivor retreat with a support group in St Lucia. What she didn't expect was a summer fling.

Davis, a panty dropping, arrogant jerk, was the highest-rated high school quarterback in the nation two years ago. Then  on a Spring Break trip, he was the sole survivor of the private plane that that crashed from twenty thousand feet.
"First, you stare at me in the airport like I've grown a second head, and now you don't answer me when I speak to you," he says with a southern drawl and an arrogant smirk.
"Do we know each other and I don't remember, If so, I'm sorry for my previous dickish behavior, but thats just kinda who I am.  Chicks usually dig it though." His voice is dry, unapologetic.

After the plane has to make a detour, Davis "lashes out." Bristol and everyone else on the plane wondering what the hell happened. Once the plane lands, Davis pulls Bristol under his wing, and its then she realizes, Davis is a survivor too. But he soon makes it known...
"You need to stay away from me, Bristol. I'm supposed to be a good boy while I'm here, and you're the perfect kind of trouble for me."
"How am I trouble?"
You're trouble because you show up on my place, all naive and innocent, completely unaware of the effect your sexy-ass legs and beautiful brown eyes have on me and every other fucking guy around."
It's in that moment, Bristol wants him to kiss her more then shes ever wanted to be kisses in her life. Despite the fact hes temperamental and she knows what he just said to her, her brain has forgotten about the underlying reason they're both there, the reason they are  both permanently emotionally damaged, all she can think about is feeling him up against her.
"Think about what you want long and hard before you make decisions, 'cause once I take this pretty little mouth, I'm taking the rest of you too. But remember, no matter what happens while we're here, when its time to leave, we return to two different cities and two separate lives."
Bristol is extremely excited to meet the faces behind the names she has been talking too for 2 years. She also pieces together who Davis really is and after dinner, she drunkingly ends up on Davis's steps and she thought'd she made up her mind, until she hears the voices coming from inside his cottage. Bristol is determined to make this trip about having fun and to forget about Davis.
"Death brought them together, but love will give them a reason to live."
Through a series of events, they find themselves spending alot of time together, and soon begin to lean on the other for support. As the two weeks in paradise come to an end, they have discovered how empty their life has been and they are learning to live again. But when their time is up will their hearts be able to withstand another devastating loss, or will their connection be strong enough to survive the real world?
I was gifted Surviving Us, so I was unsure of what exactly the book was about. I instantly loved both Bristol and Davis. Surviving Us  was beautiful and emotional. Written in both POV's, I felt every emotion the characters were feeling. Anyone can write about heartbreak and tragedy, by Erin Noelle nailed it. And If you're looking to feel and to fall in love, you NEED to read this book.
