"Twenty-year-old Clementine Avery doesn't mind being called bitchy and closed off. It's safe, and after being burned by her high school sweetheart and stalked by a professor her freshman year of college, safe sounds pretty damn good.

Her number one rule for survival? No dating. That is until she accidentally signs up for a romance writing class and needs material for her latest assignment. Sexy RA Gavin Murphy is more than happy to play the part of book boyfriend to help Clem find some inspiration, even if that means making out...in the name of research, of course.

As Gavin and Clem grow closer, they get entangled in the mystery surrounding a missing Boston University student, and Clem unwittingly becomes a possible target. Gavin tries to show Clem she can handle falling in love again, but she knows she has to be careful because her heart’s at stake…and maybe even her life.

DEAREST CLEMENTINE is a stand-alone novel with two companion novels. This New Adult romance is recommended for readers 18+ due to mature content."

Clementine Avery is sassy, bold, witty, strong, sarcastic, funny, beautiful and most important of all human. She comes from a family of wealth, but you know the saying...Money can't buy happiness..and she is proof that it can't.

Clem has been burned in love and shuts down any idea of dating...Her high school sweetheart and lifelong friend cheated on her with her best friend, then her college professor/mentor stalked and aggressively attacked her. To make things worse, her father is all about the job in another country, and her mother disowned her once she lost that honey of a quarterback in high school - because hey, mommy didn't put you on the pill for nothing! You're supposed to put out! And now you've totally ruined this perfect marriage between two high society families with a boy talented enough to pick up the Heisman. "Thanks Mom..."

So while her twin, Jax, continued to receive financial and tuition assistance, Clem had to go it alone. So what's a girl to do? Write a best seller about her life of course! But under the safety net of a pen name and that lovely fiction tag on top of what was mostly autobiographical.

That's where Gavin comes in and invades her life. Gavin Murphy, the superrr sexy RA extraordinaire. Clementine is having trouble with an assignment for her romance-writing class...not to mention, in a bit of a life-limbo, and he is more then happy to help her find inspiration and writing material with super-hot, drugging kisses in places like the dark corners of a library or on top of a one, very lucky washing machine in the laundry room!  Oh don't get me wrong...he is not an alpha-male, nor does he walk around like hes hot shit...hes soooooo totally SWEET.

The cheeky banter is the best. The flirting is. The. Best. They have the kind of banter that you want to smirk and roll your eyes at, but internally, you’re melting into a big fat puddle on the floor and squeeing the whole way down. The *kisses* alone were scorching, and the sweeter moments made me happy-sigh. I mean, seriously...HOLY FIRST DATE, BATMAN.

"I'd like for you to come upstairs with me." I lean back and look at him, studying his face..."I'm not ready for any home runs tonight, but maybe we could go for second or third base?" I keep staring into his eyes as I kiss his lips softly, waiting for him to answer.
"Have I ever told you how much I fucking love baseball?"
Clem and Gavin have a great relationship. Loved how Gavin makes Clem feel comfortable without pressure. He understands her without her having to really explain things to him. He takes his time and she needs that, slowly breaking down the walls she has put up.

I really wanted to hate Daren through the book. He keeps trying to come around, and I think he honestly just wanted forgiveness. He turned out to be a great friend who truly cared about his friend. I also loved the relationship between Clem and Jax. You can truly see the care they have for each other even though it is kinda strained at the beginning.

I seriously laughed so much during this book. Clem has such a great friends, Jenna & Harper (and a new roommate, Dani). And their game of Out-Skank. bahahaha. The point of the game is to see who can out-skank the other by writing dirty texts.
Jenna: "I want you to touch my man-slinky."
Clem: "I would touch your man-slinky, but I don't like jangly parts."
I absolutely fell in love with this story. All the characters were memorable and they all were different but awesome. It's hard to find a book where you like every character, but in this book I did. This was a great read that will lift up your mood. I felt part of the character and how fun it was to be young adult.

DEAREST CLEMENTINE is a stand-alone novel with two companion novels. I am SOOOO excited to read Jax and Dani's story next in Finding Dandelion.
