From the New York Times bestselling author of Taking Chances, From Ashes, and Stealing Harper, comes the new unforgettable adult romance Molly McAdams’ fans have been waiting for—the sizzling story of a young woman who must place her trust in the one man who can break through her defenses.
A night they will always remember…a connection neither can deny…a secret that could destroy it all…
When Kennedy Ryan moves to California, she never expects to come face-to-face with Liam Taylor—the intriguing man who has haunted her thoughts for a year. A man who led her to breaking every one of her rules for a single night of passion that ended up meaning more than it was ever supposed to. Accustomed to disastrous experiences with men, Kennedy shields herself before he can break down more of the carefully built control she’s clung to for the last four years. But every time she sees Liam, she feels her resolve weakening.
Liam Taylor has been asked to help socialize his boss’s nieces. But what he thinks sounds more like a babysitting job ends up leading him to the only girl who ever slipped away before morning—a girl he thought he’d never find again. And now that she’s within reach, Liam’s determined to never let her go.
But when a secret from her past tests their relationship, will they be able to cling to the trust Liam has worked so hard to build?
What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, only sometimes it can come back and bite you in the ass when you least expect it.
When Liam Taylor is asked to show his bosses neices, Kennedy and Kira Ryan around California and to introduce them to his friends, he has no idea whom he will be dealing with. The one who got away, the one who still haunts his dreams and he intends to make her his.
Kennedy is hesitant to let Liam in, heartbroken over a failed relationship she promised herself to never, ever fall in love again. Kennedy isn't about to let anyone take control from her again. She has her secrets, including the reason she and her sister have moved to California in the first place, and the real reason she doesn’t want to give him the time of day. She is closed off and always in control, at least until she meets Liam, and as she loses her balance with Liam, she can’t help but fight what she fears most. When the past collides with the future, I cursed the author wondering if my heart would once again be shattered. I couldn’t believe what was happening.
Liam, gorgeous, spitting image of his biological father, blonde, blue eyed and tatted up. Liam is confident that he’ll be able to break through Kennedy’s walls. Swoon, I fell for him hard and fast! You will not be disappointed when the two connect as it is HOT and consuming.
"Whether or not Kennedy was ready, or wanted it, I was getting ready to chase the girl who was already consuming my mind. "Trusting Liam is the story of Kash and Rachel's twin daughters, Kira and Kennedy, along with Liam, who is Harper and Chase's son. If you've read Taking Chances, then you know that Brandon stepped in to be the father that Liam would need. Reading about these "kids" all grown up brings the stories full circle. They each are so much like their parents and yet have grown up to be adults with their own lives. As second generation characters, the ties to their parents are clear. Liam has grown up knowing who his biological father was, but also knowing the story behind all the drama that happened before he was born. The influence from Kennedy’s parents runs more towards references that make Kennedy sick because of the innuendo and meaning behind them.
Warning: This can be read as a read along, There is enough backstory included that new readers will understand enough about Liam and Kennedy’s parents (which is really the only connection to the original books). BUT if you want the FULL experience, you will read Taking Chances and Forgiving Lies first. There are others in this cross over you can read to get the full impact. And BONUS...they are amazing books.
Taking a deep breath I can say, I’m deliriously happy. A big bow and no cliffhanger. For the first time ever, I did NOT cry while reading a story that Molly McAdams has written.
