Becca's senior year of high school is approaching and she's tired of being the dorky best friend. Determined to reinvent herself with help from Bayleigh, she plans to spend the summer breaking out of her shell. When Bayleigh gets grounded and sent away for three months, Becca's plans come crashing down before they've even started.

Now Becca is alone and can't even talk to Bayleigh on the phone. Not wanting to miss out on the summer before senior year, she takes a job at the local indoor BMX track. The job is fun, her boss is laid back, and the place is packed with hot guys. One of them just might have a crush on her. This may be a summer without her best friend, but it doesn't mean she'll have to spend the summer alone.

Becca feels like a huge loser compared to her best friend Bayleigh and finally decides to transform herself the summer before her senior year of high school with the help of her best friend. There's only one problem, Bayleigh was grounded and sent to stay with her grandparents hours away for the whole summer. Now that she's alone for the summer Becca has to decide how to make herself different than she has always been with out her best friend o by her side.

She starts off with getting rid of some of her not so cute clothes. The kind that make comments like "Lame-o Dork-o" true. She also decides to go ahead and finally get the highlights Bayleigh wanted her to get done forever ago. Now that she's starting to look like a newer person she just needs to find a job and be able to replace the clothes that she tossed.

I definitely know where Becca is coming from on wanting to change herself and was also so pleased with the way she started going about it, she didn't need her best friend there pushing her like she originally thought but it would have been a hell of a lot easy if she did have Bayleigh with her. It's always a good thing to find out who you are with out people by your side too, some times you can feel more like yourself when you do things on your own. I loved seeing this side to Becca and can't wait to read the rest of her story because reading her through Bayleigh's eyes is not nearly enough for me.
