Five minutes until the interview begins.

Fresh on the heels of her college graduation, Cameron Heart has landed an interview at a prestigious architecture firm.

Four minutes until the interview.

She knows she’s only there because the owner, Grayson Cole, is her older sister’s friend.

Three minutes.

For the last seven years, Grayson has been the most intimidating man Cammie has ever had the pleasure, or displeasure, of being around.

Two Minutes.

But the job opportunity is too good to pass up. So, Cammie will have to ignore the fact that Grayson is handsome enough to have his own national holiday.

One.

After all, she shouldn’t feel that way about her new boss. And, he will be her new boss.

“I’m not intimidated by you,” I said with a confident smile.
“Perhaps we should fix that, Ms. Heart. Close the door.”

If you loved the witty and comical banter in The Duet by R.S. Grey then you are going to LOVE The Design.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

First: This book is a STANDALONE. It follows two side characters from The Duet, but every detail you need to know will be included.

Displaying Teaser 2.pngCameron Heart, aka Cammie, dreams of leaving. One week out of college, where she'd completed her bachelors and masters degree program in architecture, she wanted to change gears and travel, she dreamed of filling her giant backpack with the essentials and settings off for unknown destinations. Even though her parents had left plenty of money after their car accident, Cammie was determined to do it all on her own.

Cammie landed an interview at Cole Designs through her sisters best friend, Grayson Cole himself. Grayson Cole is every bit of intimidating and sexy. At the interview, Grayson lays it out for Cammie, he is and has always been attracted to her, but he will not cross that line with an employee.
“I’m not intimidated by you,” I said with a confident smile.“Perhaps we should fix that, Ms. Heart. Close the door.”
Cammie has always admired Grayson from afar even her career path is down in some part to him. Grayson on the other hand has always given the impression that she is no more than his best friend's little sister, never going out of his way to be overly courteous or friendly. So with this knowledge, Cammie is determined to make Grayson the next item on her to-do list. Can they keep their relationship professional or will their relationship go move to another level?

The Design reminded me a lot of The Duet, with the witty banter and stubborn a$s male. And even though the books intertwine, they can be read completely on their own. I am so glad that Brooklyn and Jason make appearances in this book, and I'm so glad that we get to hear Brooklyn and Cammie's sisterly banter. The Design is written in only Cammie's POV, and although I love it, I wish we could hear Graysons inner dialogue. And I also wish we could learn a little more about Grayson.
"I have a master's degree in architecture, Grayson.  Hire a monkey to answer your damn phones."
But in all.... I ABSOLUTELY loved The Design. It was a fun, witty, and romantic novel. With two very attractive characters, with a strong attraction, you are bound to fall in love with each one. RS Grey has quickly become one of my favorite authors, she has not written a disappointing book yet. If you're looking for a dirty and smutty book, RS Grey has not written one yet, although hers can get steamy, I have yet to find a smutty book of hers, and thats why I admire her.
