Review
November 9 was one of my most anticipated reads of this year. Colleen Hoover is one of my top authors and I've never read anything by her that was less than a 4 star read. Hoover's words always draw me in and hook me until the very last word. November 9 has quickly become one of my favorites from her; I think my top COHO read of all time will forever be Maybe Someday.
Fallon is the daughter of a famous actor, herself being a child/teen actress. After an unfortunate accident leaves her not exactly Hollywood material, she finds herself searching for something to fill that void. Ben is basically sliding by, like most college students, with half brushed hair and day old clothes just trying to make something of himself in the writing world.
"You can't leave yet. I'm not finished falling in love with you."
Fallon and Ben meet by chance in a diner on Fallon's last day in L.A.. Ben overhears her famous, self absorbed, father being unsupportive of her impending move to the Big Apple and Ben takes it upon himself to "help her out". They realize their connection is real, but also that they shouldn't put their dreams on hold; so they agree to meet every year on November 9th. This date now holds quite a bit more of a significance that you'll soon learn about. Soon, their meetings come to mean more and more to Fallon and Ben, all the while life continues in each of their respective lives. November 9 brought so many questions to light; how much would we, or could we forgive, for a chance at real love? What lengths would we go to, or heartbreak would we endure, and still come out unscathed and able to forgive?
She "loved me" in quotations
She kissed me in bold
I TRIED TO KEEP HER in all caps
She left with an ellipsis

Noteworthy quotes abound in November 9. Colleen's writing truly encompasses the instant connection that Ben and Fallon share along with all of the factors that surround their situation. I love living in Colleen Hoover's head as I read her novels. They make me happy, they make me cry, they make me fall in love over and over again, they make me completely forget the world I'm living in. Any book that can do that, is a winner. Once again, Colleen hits the mark with a unique twist on a modern romance.
