From a USA Today bestselling author comes a novelette in the Mind Dimensions series. This short story does not require you to have read the other books in the series.

I can stop time, but I can’t change anything.

I can access memories, but not far enough.

My name is Mira, and my life is about finding the Russian mobster who killed my family.

Author kindly provided an Audio-book in exchange for an honest review.

The Time Stopper by Dima Zales was an interesting "fantasy" book about a girl named Mira, that can stop time and read minds. At a young age, Mira witnessed her parents die in a vehicle explosion and since then, shes been on the hunt for the person who murdered her parents.

With a limited amount of time to "split", The Time Stopper is very fast paced, but Mira's reactions are will thought out. I've got to say jeez, all these Russians know who Mira is. I was able to feel everything Mira was feeling, as each new challenge was thrown her way, though I did get lost on a few occasions, I was quickly able to pick back up.

The book is short and interesting from the beginning to the end. Since this is a novella to the Mind Dimensions series, I was worried I wouldn't understand what the series was about...but it was a great prequel to the rest of the series. I think because I read this book before hand, I was able to gasp the concepts of mind dimension. The narration by Laura Jennings was wonderful and I can’t wait to read the rest of this amazing series.

I took a leap of faith and went outside of my comfort zone of a contemporary romance book, and I'm very glad I did. And if you are adamant and have doubts about stepping outside of your comfort zone as well, I think you should at least TRY it...and start with The Time Stopper.
