More Than Her (More Than #2) by Jay McLean

"For every action there is an equal or opposite reaction."

For every choice you make there are rewards,
or there are consequences.
It was my choice to walk away the first time.
And my choice to chase her the second.
But sometimes you don't get a choice,
and all you get are the consequences.

"Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength,
while loving someone deeply gives you courage.”

Unless that someone is Logan Matthews.
Because loving him didn't give me
the strength to walk away.
It didn't give me
the courage to fight for him.
And when it was over,
all it gave me was a broken heart."

Tight by Alessandra Torre

"I was happy in my small town. In my life as a single, thirty-two year old woman. I had a good job, wonderful friends, my independence.

I also hadn't got laid in three years. Hadn't been on a date in two. Had stopped counting calories and wearing makeup... a while ago.

Then Brett Jacobs waltzed in. Caressed my thigh, dug rough fingers into my hair, lowered his soft mouth to my skin, took sexual control of my mind and stirred it all around with what he packed in his pants. He flipped my quiet life upside down and crawled into a place in my heart I thought was dead.

The issue is his secret.
The issue is her.
The issue is that I don't even know she exists, and he thinks she's dead.
The issue is that shit is about to hit the fan and I can't hold on to him tight enough."

I LOVE Alessandra Torre and when I learned of Tight, I was super excited...she never disappoints. The thing I love about Alessandra's books: You never know what to expect. I always go into her books completely blind.

"Chloe has one plan for the future, and one plan only: the road. She’s made a promise to herself: don’t let anyone in, and don’t let anyone love her. She’s learned the hard way what happens if she breaks her rules. So she’s focused on being invisible and waiting until she can set out on the road—her dream of freedom, at least for a little while.
Blake Hunter is a basketball star who has it all—everything about him looks perfect to those on the other side of his protective walls. He can’t let anyone see the shattered pieces behind the flawless facade or else all his hopes and dreams will disappear.
One dark night throws Chloe and Blake together, changing everything for Blake. For Chloe, nothing changes: she has the road, and she’s focused on it. But when the so-called perfect boy starts to notice the invisible girl, they discover that sometimes with love, no one knows where the road may lead."

Tell Me You Love Me (Fire Me Up #1)

Stay. Stay with me. Stay here. Stay close. Stay like this forever. Stay as happy as I am right here in your arms, always.
* * *
All I’ve ever wanted was to be loved, but if this is what true love is…I’m not so sure I want it anymore. It also makes me wonder if any of my memories of our once happy marriage are even real. Maybe I just conjured up the fairy tale in my head because I wanted…no…needed it so much. Who the hell knows?

“Molly just called to remind you about your book club meeting this afternoon.” He turns away. “I told her you’ve never missed a meeting and I doubt today would be any different.”

The door shuts behind him before I let a smile creep across my lips. Instantly, the hurt from this morning flees my mind and I feel nothing but giddiness. I have a book club meeting today, and let’s just say it’s not your everyday book club.

Sure, my husband may never truly love me again…but who needs love when you’re about to get an eyeful of hot firemen?

Raising Cain (Wild Rose #3)

Raising Cain (Wild Rose Series #3) by Scarlett Jade

"Grace’s world is rocked after Christina dies and she’s left learning how to raise a micro preemie with many health concerns. As Cain reaches his first Christmas, someone from her past returns, and Grace is left reeling.
When Drake finds a strange e-mail in his inbox after returning from touring with his band, Jacob’s Ladder, his first thought is that it can’t be true. A part of him has to know for sure, and he makes a trip to Phoenix to find out if Grace really had a child, and if it’s his.
Grace is determined to make sure the littlest wild rose has a home, and she’s not willing to have her heart broken again by anyone. Being alone is the safest thing.
Drake has other plans.
Can he convince her to fall in love again, or has Grace become wary of love’s thorns?"

After the heart aching tear jerker that was Finding Christina I absolutely could not wait to get my hands on Raising Cain, if you fell in love with these characters like I have you will understand what I mean. I tend to fall horribly in love with these book boyfriends, as does most of the female population. Drake Stone was no exception, I'm still suffering from the fact that he is indeed just a character and I can't have him.
