This weekend at the SaSS book signing in Baltimore, author CD Bradley released the paperback version of Roulette. This official release date is August 1, 2017. After being teased all weekend with what promised to be "a fun and sassy read" I came home and instantly dove into the book. I mean what else could a girl do? Unpack? Clean? Adult? NOPE! That's insane thinking!

The book centers around Olivia Hastings, an attorney who forgets how to have fun, and her crazy busy life. A life that doesn't allow her much time to do much of anything especially reading. Yet one day out of the blue she receives an invitation from her old college roommate to attend a book signing that was occurring right in her hometown. The book signing, ironically enough, was SaSS! How fun to read a book and see some of your favorite moments peppered in there for you to relive over and over again along with your favorite people making cameo appearances. 

Speaking of cameo appearances, yours truly, may have two different "character names" in this book. A doctor, Mrs. Windmiller and "Venus" the antagonist. WHAT? CD Bradley made me the bad character. Should I be offended or honored? LOL. Luckily she warned me in advance and I honestly don't care so it's all cool. 

Back to the story! Once Olivia gets the signing a bunch of strange things start to happen that cause her history to resurface. Things she thought she wouldn't have to think about again. She also meets someone. How romantic?! You meet someone at a romance book signing. ;-) This book has a lot of twists and turns and I honestly thought I had it figured it but every time I got "comfortable" the rug was pulled out from under me. It was a quick, fun, and sassy read!

About CD Bradley:

I’m just a girl who likes to daydream and sometimes I write them down to share. Growing up, the literary world was my safe haven. A wonderful place of fantasy beyond the bounds of reality. As an adult, I put that behind me to practice medicine. My husband and I owned our own practice, had two children and lived a somewhat normal life. Fate, had other plans. In the span of a year we sold our practice, bought a 96 acre farm in the hills of West Virginia and adopted 3 of our patients (ages 1,3,4).  It has been an adventure of ups and downs and learning to laugh at ourselves. Yet, somewhere in the midst of kids, chickens, and toothpaste covered dogs, I began to write again. My late night / early morning escape lets me dream beyond all limits.  I hope that you will enjoy the journey of the story as much as I have writing it.
